This all used to work with my old iPhone 8. Now, when I plug my iPhone 11 into the newly cleaned USB port, using a brand new, wokrking Apple branded lightning to USB lead (£19 !!!), the phone intially starts to charge but then flicks in and out of charging rapidly for about 30 seconds before refusing to charge at all.

Posted 22 October, 2015. +1 yes you can get the grille surround trim off by breaking off the old one into a dozen pieces but the main upper grille is welded to the front bumper. To fit that superskoda one you will have to cut the original one off and to make a proper job plastic weld the new one back onto the bumper.
Help! 1) Life is too short for crap USB cables. Buy some top quality Lindy or Anker ones, you won't regret it. 2) Get a charging rate monitor app ("Galaxy charging current" app works well for me on Samsung phones) - you'll see if your phone is charging at 200mA or 1800mA (Although, I think I tend to get no more than 1000-1200mA from the dash USB socket.
First, download Connect LITE from your phone’s app store. Once downloaded, get in your ŠKODA and open the app. Turn on the engine and insert the DataPlug. You’ll find the port in your car’s footwell. Once the DataPlug is inserted the app will ask you for a PIN so it can connect. Your PIN is printed on the DataPlug’s box.
